white-out!

So it took until about 11am for the KC to close for the day. I can still see out my apartment window, but only just. It is actually a blizzard out there. What alternate universe am I in!!

Apparently DC has stopped plowing because it's too dangerous to plow!! A friend commented that there won't be that much of a difference....

On other news - I have finally been invited to something at the Embassy that I can go to!! Okay, it is a bit...Canadian...but still. I am going to watch a Canadian-US Olympic hockey game!! Hilarious. I'm taking some fellows along with me on the condition that they cheer for Canada. We'll see if they behave (honestly I'd doubt any of us know the rules to hockey even...)
